SEEK Bio’s Low-Carbon Circular Economy Leads the 2024 Huanlian Solid Waste Resource Utilization Forum

From July 4 to 5, 2024, the “2024 Shanghai Huanlian (11th) Solid Waste Resource Utilization Forum,” hosted by the Huanlian Solid Waste Industry Platform and Shanghai Huanlian Low-Carbon Technology Research Center, was grandly held in Minhang, Shanghai. The forum brought together environmental experts, industry leaders, and government officials from across the country to explore cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions in solid waste resource utilization.

At this high-level professional event, SEEK Bio-Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (“SEEK Bio”), as a leading enterprise in the environmental protection industry, was represented by Chairman Pu Jiaxing, Vice General Manager Liu Shanliang, and Chairman’s Assistant Li Yanrong. Professor Liu Jianguo from the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, elaborated on how standardized recycling of recyclable materials can enhance waste classification efficiency. Professor Zhou Wenjuan from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture addressed concerns and thoughts regarding construction waste issues highlighted in the central environmental inspections. Professor He Pinjing from the School of Environment, Tongji University, shared recent advances in research on carbon emissions from municipal solid waste. These forward-looking perspectives not only stimulated deep reflection among participants but also provided new ideas for industry development.

He proposed a new model — “Low-Carbon Recycling of Urban and Rural Organic Waste through Carbonization and Carbon-Based Fertilizer Production” — built on “new technologies, new equipment, and new products.” This model represents a key approach to solving resource and environmental challenges, advancing green agricultural development, and achieving carbon reduction goals.
