From April 13 to 15, the 27th Shanghai International Environmental Protection Expo (IE expo Shanghai 2026), Asia's flagship environmental exhibition, grandly opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. As a benchmark enterprise in China's biochar and circular agriculture technology sector, SEEK made a powerful appearance with its full-chain agricultural and forestry waste resource utilization solution. Built around the core technology of "turning waste into treasure, carbon sequestration and pollution reduction," SEEK became a focal point of the expo, showcasing its technical strength and industry leadership in organic solid waste treatment and biochar-based fertilizers.
Under the theme "Connecting Global Opportunities, Exploring Emerging Drivers," this year's expo brought together over 2,000 environmental protection companies from around the world, covering core sectors such as solid waste treatment, soil remediation, and the circular economy. SEEK focused on four major business pillars — EPC services for circular economy projects, organic waste resource utilization, development and application of novel fertilizers, and carbon asset development and trading. On-site, the company presented its independently developed intelligent pyrolysis equipment, intelligent fertilizer production systems, and a full range of core products including biochar-based organic fertilizers and soil conditioners.

From efficient collection and storage of agricultural and forestry wastes — such as straw, sawdust, and fruit tree branches — to clean conversion through intelligent pyrolysis carbonization into biochar, and then to compounding into high-value biochar-based fertilizers that are returned to the soil for improvement and carbon sequestration, SEEK presented the complete closed-loop industrial chain: "waste → biochar → biochar-based fertilizer → soil improvement → carbon sequestration and emission reduction." Throughout the expo, numerous professional visitors, industry clients, and partners engaged in in-depth consultations on technical details, project implementation processes, and product application results, fully demonstrating the company's benchmark status and market appeal in the high-value utilization of organic solid waste.
During the expo, SEEK Chairman Pu Jiaxing was invited to accept exclusive interviews from multiple authoritative media outlets, discussing industry development trends, the company's R&D efforts, and strategic layout. Chairman Pu stated: "Waste is not an endpoint, but the starting point of a new value chain. Since its establishment, SEEK has remained committed to its core mission of 'seeking sustainable agricultural solutions.' With over a decade of dedicated work in biochar technology, leveraging our independently patented intelligent pyrolysis carbonization technology, we have successfully achieved reduction, harmless treatment, and high-value utilization of agricultural and forestry waste. This not only effectively addresses agricultural non-point source pollution but also provides core technical support for soil improvement, crop quality enhancement, and carbon sequestration and emission reduction."
He further emphasized that as the first company in Shanghai to receive the Puro.earth biochar carbon credit (CORC) certification, SEEK will continue to deepen its presence in the circular economy sector. Driven by technological innovation, the company will advance equipment upgrades, optimize industrial models, and expand into global markets, contributing to the development of "zero-waste cities" and the green, high-quality transformation of agriculture, while lending its strength to the nation's "dual carbon" goals.

Concurrently with the expo, the 3rd High-Quality Development Forum on Organic Solid Waste and Green Technology Supply-Demand Exchange Meeting was successfully held. SEEK Technical Director Liu Shanliang was invited to attend as an industry expert and delivered a keynote report titled "Exploration and Practice of Biochar-Based Fertilizer Utilization of Agricultural and Forestry Organic Solid Waste."
In his report, Director Liu, drawing on over a decade of SEEK's R&D experience and the practical operational insights from the Jinshan base, systematically elaborated on the core technical pathways and key breakthroughs in the carbonization conversion of agricultural and forestry organic waste, biochar-based fertilizer production, and soil improvement applications. He highlighted key technological achievements such as "energy-saving pyrolysis carbonization" and the "dual-three high-efficiency fertilizer production" system, as well as the company's large-scale implementation results across multiple projects nationwide, achieving "annual processing of over 100,000 tons of agricultural and forestry waste and annual production of 60,000 tons of biochar-based fertilizer."
Director Liu pointed out that biochar-based fertilizers deliver four core values — soil improvement, fertility enhancement, carbon sequestration and emission reduction, and improved agricultural product quality. They represent a key green solution to pressing issues in current agricultural production, such as soil compaction, excessive fertilizer use, and insufficient carbon sequestration. By building a full-chain service system integrating "technology + equipment + products + services," SEEK has developed a replicable and scalable circular industrial system for organic solid waste, providing robust technical support and actionable pathways for rural revitalization and low-carbon agricultural transformation.
This appearance at IE expo Shanghai 2026 served as a comprehensive showcase of SEEK's technical prowess, industrial achievements, and brand influence. Guided by the core principle of "technological innovation as the root, industrial implementation as the fruit," SEEK continues to lead the biochar and organic solid waste resource utilization sector.
Looking ahead, SEEK will remain true to its development vision of "resource recycling, high-value utilization, pollution and carbon reduction, and green development." The company will deepen biochar technology R&D and industrial application, forge close partnerships with industry, academia, and research institutions, and continue to expand into circular economy EPC services, carbon sink project development, and other diversified businesses — contributing Chinese technology, Chinese solutions, and Chinese strength to global organic waste management, green agricultural development, and the achievement of carbon neutrality goals.
