“Pollution Reduction, Carbon Mitigation, Circular Prosperity!” SEEK Bio Shines at the 2025 Carbon Expo
2025-06-07 18:06
The three-day 2025 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo (June 5–7) concluded successfully at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As a representative enterprise in the circular economy sector, SEEK Bio Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. presented under the theme “Pollution Reduction · Carbon Mitigation · Circular Development” at Booth N2X05, showcasing its technological capabilities and innovative products in organic waste resource utilization and agricultural green transformation.

01 Technology Exchange: Forum Presentations and Leadership Engagement
On June 6, SEEK Bio Chairman Pu Jiaxing, Vice General Manager Li Yanrong, and other members of the management team attended the “Technology Empowerment for Urban Modern Green Agriculture Low-Carbon Transformation and High-Quality Development Forum” hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.

- Keynote by Academician Chen Wenfu: Chief Scientist of SEEK Bio and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Chen Wenfu delivered a keynote report titled “Biochar and Low-Carbon Agriculture”, systematically outlining the vital role and application prospects of biochar technology in advancing agricultural green and low-carbon development.
- Application Practices by Director Liu Shanliang: SEEK Bio Technical Director Liu Shanliang shared a report titled “Application of Biochar-based Fertilizers in Agricultural Green High-Quality Development”, focusing on how SEEK’s biochar-based fertilizers combine carbon sequestration and soil remediation functions to address practical challenges in agricultural green transformation. The report drew from both laboratory research and field practice, demonstrating the technology’s impact on improving soil health, reducing agricultural carbon emissions, and supporting rural revitalization.
- Visit by Deputy Director Zhang Zhitong: Following the forum, Deputy Director Zhang Zhitong of the Shanghai Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee visited SEEK Bio’s booth (N2X05), learning in detail about SEEK’s innovative technologies, the Jinshan Project operation, and the real-world effects of biochar-based fertilizers. He affirmed SEEK’s contributions to agricultural waste resource utilization and the promotion of urban modern green agriculture in Shanghai.
02 Booth Interaction: Technology and Products Draw Attention
SEEK Bio’s booth (N2X05) attracted numerous professional visitors and partners:
- Core Technology Display: On-site demonstrations showcased how energy-saving pyrolysis carbonization technology and “Triple-Double Efficient Fertilizer Technology” convert organic waste into high-value biochar-based fertilizers.
- “A Day of Sustainability” Participation: SEEK Bio actively took part in the Expo’s “A Day of Sustainability” interactive event. Visitors witnessed the transformation process from organic waste to biochar-based fertilizer. The first 100 participants who completed the check-in received the 2025 Carbon Expo SEEK Bio limited edition biochar-based fertilizer, creating strong onsite engagement.

03 Project Demonstration: Jinshan Case Highlights Circular Value
The booth prominently featured the SEEK Bio “Shanghai Jinshan Agricultural Circular Economy Project” (Jinshan Factory). This project exemplifies the circular economy model, integrating a carbonization zone, fermentation zone, and ecological planting zone. Annually, it processes over 100,000 tons of organic waste, producing 65,000 tons of new carbon-based fertilizer, successfully creating a full cycle of:
Organic waste collection → Carbon-based fertilizer production → Soil remediation → Carbon sequestration and emission reduction
This demonstrates the significant environmental and agricultural benefits of circular economy projects.
As a national high-tech enterprise, a member of the International Biochar Association, and a contributor to industry standards, SEEK Bio focuses on organic waste resource utilization, new fertilizer development, and soil remediation. Leveraging strong research foundations and collaborations with institutions such as Shenyang Agricultural University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, SEEK has overcome over 20 key technological challenges and is dedicated to providing leading EPC solutions for the circular economy.
04 Looking Forward
Although the 2025 Carbon Expo has ended, SEEK Bio’s exploration of “pollution reduction, carbon mitigation, and circular development” continues. The technology exchanges, audience feedback, and leadership guidance at the Expo have further strengthened the company’s confidence for future development.
SEEK Bio is committed to:
- Continuing to innovate in organic waste resource utilization and biochar-based fertilizer technology;
- Expanding collaboration with partners across government, research, and industry;
- Transforming circular economy concepts into practical, scalable solutions.
SEEK Bio will continue to let technology serve the land, advancing green, low-carbon development and contributing to building a sustainable future. We look forward to continuing this journey together toward a greener world.
