Warmly celebrating the successful conclusion of the China Carbon-Based Fertilizer Research and Application Summit Forum (Shaanxi Session)
2017-08-09 17:36
From August 7 to 8, 2017, SEEK Bio-Tech (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “SEEK”) co-hosted the first China Carbon-Based Fertilizer Research and Application Summit Forum with Nanjing Agricultural University in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. Nearly one hundred agricultural input distributors gathered at Louguan Impression Hotel in Xi’an to discuss the current applications and future prospects of carbon-based fertilizers in agricultural production. The event featured industry experts including Li Guodong, Technical Manager of SEEK; Wei Xuefeng, Deputy Marketing Director; Zhou Duanyang, Regional Manager; Zhang Chong from the Technical Department; and Associate Professor Zheng Jinwei from Nanjing Agricultural University.

Industry insiders widely recognize the promising potential of the “carbon-based fertilizer” market.
At the conference, Dr. Jinwei Zheng from Nanjing Agricultural University explained the benefits of biochar—from basic theory to practical application, from production to processing—highlighting its role in improving soil, enhancing nutrient efficiency, and promoting plant health. Dr. Zheng emphasized that the importance of organic carbon in farmland ecosystems needs to be re-evaluated. Carbon in soil is a fundamental element with irreplaceable functions. Biochar can significantly increase soil fertility, improve soil aggregate structure, and even create fertile, high-carbon soils in barren areas. The most direct effects are notable increases in crop yield and quality, as well as reductions in chemical fertilizer and pesticide use. Furthermore, applying biochar to soil not only sequesters CO₂ but also reduces emissions of other greenhouse gases such as nitrous oxide.
Dr. Guodong Li, Manager of R&D at SEEK, introduced SEEK’s carbon-based fertilizers from a macro perspective of the fertilizer industry, covering market forecasts and development prospects. Using a range of data, he analyzed the current status of the fertilizer industry and concluded that new fertilizers are growing rapidly, outperform traditional fertilizers in market performance, and that efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly fertilizers are the inevitable trend for future agriculture.
Zhang Chong from the Technical Department shared nationwide application cases of SEEK’s carbon-based fertilizers on various crops. These examples demonstrated how SEEK’s products improve soil, promote crop growth, and enhance the quality of agricultural products, highlighting the noticeable effects after use. Meanwhile, Territory Manager Duanyang Zhou shared his years of professional experience and market insights, analyzing how to expand the market, promote products, and adopt effective new marketing models after abandoning outdated approaches—receiving unanimous recognition and high praise from attending distributors.
SEEK Showcases Its Strength at the Summit Forum
As a "Global Leader in Carbon Fertilizers," SEEK is the world’s first high-tech enterprise to center its core technologies on biochar and microorganisms, consistently dedicated to the research, production, sales, and technical services of carbon fertilizers. Backed by a strong R&D team and continuous innovation, SEEK has mastered three core technologies:
Biomass Carbonization Technology — Advanced agricultural biomass carbonization technology.
Microbial Development Technology — Agricultural high-efficiency microbial EM agent compound technology.
Carbon Fertilizer Development Technology — Soil ecological restoration carbon fertilizer development technology.
SEEK offers three major product series:
Carbon-Based Fertilizers — Premium base fertilizers for soil improvement (including heavy metal pollution remediation, acid soil improvement, soil structure enhancement, etc.).
Carbon Energy Liquid Fertilizers — Rich in nine native first-generation DM-EM active microorganisms, effectively improving root environments and promoting healthy crop growth.
Carbon Energy Water-Soluble Fertilizers — Providing a safe and efficient nutrient solution for integrated agricultural water-fertilizer systems.
The three major product series are widely applied in soil improvement, crop quality enhancement, and organic agriculture, yielding remarkable results.
On August 8, 2017, SEEK’s Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Wei Xuefeng, shared the company’s business philosophy and future development strategy with the attendees. SEEK will adhere to the development strategy of “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative,” developing products including the bio-carbon-based fertilizer series, carbon-energy biostimulant series, and high-efficiency microbial series. By integrating technological resources and continuously innovating, SEEK aims to develop personalized carbon fertilizer products tailored to agricultural production and customer needs.
Shaanxi Province is a major producer of high-quality fruit trees, with enormous annual fertilizer demand. However, the local urea market currently suffers from supply without stable pricing, and compound fertilizer prices remain chaotic. Farmers show high acceptance of new fertilizers such as humic acid, trace element fertilizers, and microbial fertilizers, but their understanding of these products remains limited. As a global leader in carbon fertilizers, SEEK will provide Shaanxi’s agricultural input distributors with high-quality carbon fertilizer products and scientific technical support, creating a path toward an efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable development for Shaanxi’s planting industry.
