In Xinfeng Town, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, ginger is a traditional leading industry, with a total planting area of 9,000 mu, accounting for half of the province’s production.

At the beginning of 2024, to enhance soil health and improve ginger yield and quality, Zhongke Tong’ao launched a biochar-based fertilizer soil improvement project at the Modern Smart Agriculture Factory in Xinfeng Town, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City. Recently, Xinfeng ginger has enjoyed a bountiful harvest, with yields and quality surpassing previous years in the agricultural factory.

After project implementation, soil organic matter content significantly increased, and nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium reached abundant levels. Yield measurements showed that ginger in improved areas increased by about 10% compared to unimproved areas, with larger sizes and better quality.

This achievement not only demonstrates the advantages and effectiveness of biochar-based fertilizers for soil improvement but also brings tangible economic benefits to local farmers. It provides valuable experience for agricultural soil improvement and offers new ideas for sustainable agricultural development.

Zhongke Tong’ao focuses on biochar as a breakthrough, specializing in the research and production of high-quality biochar-based fertilizers, aiming to enhance soil health and promote sustainable agriculture. We look forward to seeing the Tong’ao Biochar-Based Fertilizer Soil Improvement Project promoted and applied in more regions, contributing to the modernization of agriculture in China.
